What you can buy with money

The other day I watched a movie on HBO and basically there was this couple got married and wanted to start a life. So they started to build a house. Unfortunately they ran into a hard time with money kind of like times are now. So they were trying to find a way to make up the money. Any who they end up at a casino and a man (rich man) offered to buy the girl a dress and she said “the dress is for sale and I’m not” well that only made the rich man want her more. Well he did buy her and she ended up with him for a while. And she probably would have stayed had he not told her that there were millions of more women that he had taken from their men with this whole buying thing. I loved the movie because I’m a hopeless romantic. And I love clothing and I would love for a rich man to swipe in and buy me all I want. 

Spring Break In NY

I had a great time during spring break I keep telling people of I didn't do much just went to NY for a day. And that’s a lie I had a blast. I need to have more day trips like this in my life.

Sweaters

The winter is running away from us and its time to put the sweaters to rest; However I haven’t had the chance to ware all of my sweaters as of yet. So I decided to dedicate a post to sweaters everywhere. Like who doesn’t like sweaters. Some of my best winter memories involved me wearing sweaters. Like Christmas, thanks giving dinners, house parties (and yes I wore a sweater to a house party and I had the time of my life). Fun fact for my interview in high school at Duke Ellington I wore a sweater.

Think about when you watch movies and the couple is snuggled up in the house watching a movie right before the monster or someone comes in to interrupt. They are typically wearing a sweater. For about three birthdays straight my grandmother bought me different Disney sweaters, and still wares them to this day. I’m in class thinking of how sad people would be with out their sweaters, so I need to post this and get back to listening. Hear are some pictures I found enjoy. 

Time flys

I’m back from spring break and let me tall you I feel like school is about to be over in a jiffy. There is a lot that I haven’t had a chance to do. Like settle on a place to live for next school year. However I see more of the things that I have been able to do; like I have a job. I work five days a week and I’m making the money I need to not put such a financial strain on my parents. So I don’t want to down play my achievements by thinking of all the goals that I had that will not come true this semester. Because I’m not a quitter and best believe ill be right back at it next year. 

Trina Got in a Fight

So today I had almost the worst day. I woke up to aunt flow. Then I realized a lot of my homework was past due so I hade to basically get that done. But I’m not out of the bed yet. So my eyes are close and my phone starts ringing, I think it’s a text message so I just press the button to read it. However it’s a call…. From my father. I hung that phone up so fast. That’s for another day.

The next thing I know my step dad is hitting me up to get my paper work done for this school funding for senior year. That whole thing went smoothly a guy in the tax office has a crush on me and my step dad saw a old school fling. But the shit hit the fan when I went to the OSSE office where you get the award letters and all that. Now mind you I did not know that the only award I was applying for was TAG. In the past years I had been able to apply for TAG and LEAP, I ask the guy why is it that I did not get the LEAP this year. He pompously says oh you should know that. It’s dead. I wanted to storm out but I keep my self together. Then he tries to tell me what I should be doing in school. Mind you this guy is probable 70 years old, I’m not lying he was so old he could barely type on the key board and asked for help taking out the staple. My face read all my expressions to him but instead of getting out of line I simply said “thanks for you help”.

Then I don’t know if I told you guys about my car. But I got the up close and personal. Ill post a picture. I really wanted to cry. And do you know my dad made me drive it around to get a estimate on it. I felt so embarrass but you know what it still runs.

I really think these shoes would put some style back into my life.

With this job I just haven't had the time to take care of my fashion needs. Like my hair, its been a month i missed my check up with my stylist. And guess who she is...... ME. Thats sad. Oh and the gym omg i haven't broken a sweat in there for a month now. All this started right along with my job. I need to find a way to fit Me back into my life.

C Scholar

I first meet C Scholar when we were both freshmen at VCU what seems like so long ago is still very fresh in my mind. He was always a very smooth guy catching the attention of all the ladies. This past week he caught the attention of more then the ladies as he was recognized as one of the best new underground artist out of VA at the DMV Awards. I have added the video that was made to give his fans a behind scenes view of his trip there.

I see nothing but greatness for people with this type of drive. His image has changed a little bit from the young child with braids to now the grown and a sexy man. Follow him on twitter and hopefully you will fall in lust to. Because as one of his songs say he is the perfect gentlemen.

Barbie....Where is she?

I was thinking of this whole new thing lady gaga is preaching of how people are born a certain way. Along with the Nikki a native Trinidadian like my mother who considered her self a Barbie for a while. So my questions are which one do I agree with? I like looking cute but then sometimes I think its better to let your true colors shine through.

But thinking about Barbie’s they have this new show called the real ken. It’s basically like a search for Ken. Who is said to be trying to get back with Barbie. Which lead me to remember I never really had my own Barbie because she was always white. So I went on a search for a Barbie that looked like me. And guess what I found. 

First I found some of the fly white ones that I always wanted. 

Then I some well I will say shapely Barbie's.... 

Well I finally found an African American Barbie

There was even a VOGUE issue on it. 

 This one was interesting I kinda want to buy it. 

But the best out of it all is the Barbie with dreads.
